(FIX) Secret bonus stages (added 05.06.14):
There are a lot of secret places during the game where you can find some bonuses or get a shortcut, usually two for each level, but some of them can't be opened together. Each secret place needs it's own unique method to open. Here is the complete list.
Round 1-9-Stop right on the starting point of the round 1-9, on the right side of the ledge, mash your sword to the left, then to the right. There are some enemies, exit is at round 1-11, you still can access the bonus at round 1-10, if die here, then you continue right from round 1-9.
Round 1-10-Stand in front of the water mill, crouch, jump, mash sword to the right, then to the left. A bonus room with falling coins and scrolls will appear. Exit is at the same place.
Round 2-6-Climb on the very first three in round 2-6, up to the top. Mash your sword in a small room to reveal hidden scrolls. Exit, and a bird will take you to the beginning of round 2-9.
Round 2-10-Stand in front of the second pillar, from the beginning of round 2-10. Jump once, then two times jump and mash your sword mid-air. It's a very short shortcut to round 2-11.
Round 3-4-Near the beginning of round 3-4, there is a cliff side and a cloud on the lower level. Jump down to the cloud, then jump up back to the cliff side. Repeat this two more times. Use your weapon in the small cave to reveal hidden scrolls. Exit is at the same place.
Round 3-8-Jump to the floating cloud at the very beginning of round 3-8, jump three times on it, when the cloud is in the topmost position. This shourtcut brings you to round 3-10.
Round 4-1-Right at the start of the round 4, jump to the left, to the middle of the rock and crouch there for a 4 seconds. This is the best shortcut in the game, brings you to round 4-8, avoiding very annoying frogs.
Round 4-11-At the beginning of round 4-11, jump to the first solid rock and jump on it three times. A fish head will appear instead of second solid rock to the right, jump to its mouth. Shourtcut leads to round 4-12 through the fish ass.
Round 5-5-Crouch for a 3 seconds under the second window, from the beginning of round 5-5. There is another falling prizes room. Exit is at the same place.
Round 5-12-Reach the Buddha statue near the end of level. Crouch in the middle of the statue, right under the belly, for a 3 seconds, and then shout in famicom's microphone at controller 2. This secret is the same for both the Japanese version and the US version, but you can't enter it on the NES due the lack of the microphone. Exit is at the same place.
Round 6-4-At the very beginning of round 6-4, jump to the right side of the water pond, and walk into the water to the left. Exit is at round 6-7.
Round 6-9-Near the beginning of round 6-9, stand at the rightmost corner of the roof. Jump right in a small cavity, stand at the rightmost corner of the cavity and jump up once, jump back to the roof. Repeat this four times. Exit is at the same place.
Round 7-3-There are a six doors with the tiger picture on it in rounds 7-3 to 7-5. Crouch for a 3 seconds at first 5 doors to access a different secret rooms. In the first door, there is another room with falling prizes, and jumping maneki-neko, which very annoying. The second door contains the whole Buddha statue, which gives you a present in the left hand. The third door contains a room with five scrolls, with word "ハズレ" (which means "FAIL" for some reason) written on them. The fourth and fifth doors are similar and leads to the rooms with some scrolls floating in air. All five rooms moves you to round 7-6, so you couldn't acces all them at once.

(BUR) GameGenie (added 05.02.13):
GASYSIEI-Some of the Namco games, which uses the 19 mapper PCB, contains also the specific self-test routine. It can test and initialize the internal RAM buffers. Similar to the other Namco games series, in order to run these tests, you must plug in a special device to the famicom expansion port. This device is much simpler than mentioned another device. It just takes one bit of data and immediately returns it inverted to the data port, there is no FIFOs inside. When the program detects the device presence, it performs RAM test and initialization. If RAM is already tested/initialized, the screen will turn blue. If RAM isn't initialized, but after init and test all is fine, then screen will turn yellow or pink. If, even after the reinitialization, RAM test fails, then screen will turn red. After the tests, program goes to the infinite loop, so yo must unplug special device to boot into the game. Using this Game Genie code you can skip the special device check and just directly to the RAM initialization routine. This game tests it's WRAM.
