During race, pause the game, hold Up + A and then press Start to unpause. The speed of the car will be temporarily boosted to it's maximum, even if you were standing. Speed will return to it's normal value or to 0 if you don't accelerate.

During race, pause the game, hold B + Select and press A to increase the internal lap timeout timer. If this timer is dropped down to 0, then you'll get retired from the current race. With this cheat you can increase this timeout counter up to maximum as much as you need and stay on the race for a long time you need.

PENNOYAA-Re-enables the in-game debug mode. While on world map or in towns you can press on controller 2 A to refill HP, press B to add 65535 money, Right or Down to other effects.
PEXPVYAA-Re-enables debugging feature for the small event screens, like Game Over screen or Teleport Display. Press Select to switch to the next event while any of it is displayed. Be careful, it's just increasing the internal counter and doesn't check it for validity or wrap around 0, there is a total 7 events and after 8th you'll crash the game. Note: the Game Over event number - 6, events 2 and 4 are unused and 4th one has a nudity.
PEVAIPAA-Similar to the previous debug feature for mini-games. Press on controller 2 A to win current game, B to exit from it, press Select on controller 2 to switch to the next nimigame. This time there is a value check, so you couldn't crash the game with it.
PAOEZZAA-Different debug routine for the last mini-game battle. Press A or B on controller 2 to refill HP/MP ore press Select on controller 1 to win current battle.

Famicom Jump II - Saikyou no 7 Nin

(UNI) SRAM test (added 03.04.14):
When no save data is present (first boot or battery was removed or saves are damaged), hold Left + A + B on controller 2 then press Reset. This will init the whole SRAM with particular byte pattern. The screen will turn green and game stops. Now, hold only A + B on controller 2 and press Reset again. The game will test for the particular pattern presence, if test is ok, the game will reinit it's SRAM and continue normal play. If not, the screen will turn red and game stops. With this feature, you can test as well SRAM integrity or how is battery keeps save data, if you remove the cart between two mentioned above operations.

(BUR) GameGenie (added 03.04.14):
AAEGAENY-Re-enables a simple debug features. First of all, this disables the random encounters on the world map. Hold A on controller 2 while walking to move faster. Also hold B on controller 1 while walking to free move on any map in any direction, anyway doors are still working.

From now, your punch power will be at the maximum and enemy's punches won't damage you. But you couldn't save your progress with the passwords. A password string will be always "ANTAWOTUYOI", which means "YOU ARE STRONG".

Family Circuit

(FIX) Sprint race skip (added 05.04.14):
Due to specific of the program design, there is possible to abuse some features to easily win the Sprint Race mode. Start a new Sprint Race mode (third option), enter a name and select a car with the password, then select game type (the last one "SUPER A" will give you the real ending). During normal game, every course consist of two parts, two qualify and one sprint race. You can retire from any course by press Select, but you get no points and will be last in the list. Now, just before the start of every sprint race part (results of the qualify part doesn't matter, so you can skip it), try to press A + Select at the same time, so you start a new race and immediately retire from it. If done right, the game won't init the racers list, but skip immediately to the result calculation, using the empty tables. This will turn all cars into default ones called "RALLY-X", all racers are retired now, as well as you. But points calculation and sorting routine will place YOU to the top of the ranking list! If you continue this operations for every course, you win! The same bug can be done with the "Taikyuu" race, but in this mode, there should be at least one winner. If all cars are retired, the race is over, so you just can't abuse this trick here.

(UNI) Extra acceleration (added 03.04.14):
Normally, during the game, if you press B, your car will brake. But, if you hold A at the title screen and press Start, the brake button will turn into acceleration button. So, pushing B during race will twice the acceleration speed as well the speed itself. There is other method for enable this cheat, seems its just a bug. If you start a new "Kansen" mode race, the acceleration button will be enabled too. You just need to skip the race by pressing Select to return back to the title menu. This cheat also disables the random opponent car selection in the Sprint Race or Taikyuu Race modes. You will always race with the first 8 cars from the predefined cars list.

GAXTNAEI-Some of the Namco games, which uses the 19 mapper PCB, contains also the specific self-test routine. It can test and initialize the internal RAM buffers. Similar to the other Namco games series, in order to run these tests, you must plug in a special device to the famicom expansion port. This device is much simpler than mentioned another device. It just takes one bit of data and immediately returns it inverted to the data port, there is no FIFOs inside. When the program detects the device presence, it performs RAM test and initialization. If RAM is already tested/initialized, the screen will turn blue. If RAM isn't initialized, but after init and test all is fine, then screen will turn yellow or pink. If, even after the reinitialization, RAM test fails, then screen will turn red. After the tests, program goes to the infinite loop, so yo must unplug special device to boot into the game. Using this Game Genie code you can skip the special device check and just directly to the RAM initialization routine. This game tests it's WRAM at $7800.

Family Computer - Othello, Othello

(UNI) Edit mode (added 05.01.08):
At the time limit select menu for any mode, except "SLOT", press Right + A on controller 2 and A + B + Select on controller 1 at the same time and hold all buttons until the name entry screen appears. Before the game start, you will be able to put black or white stones on the table by pressing A or B, then press Start to finally start a new game with given field configuration. To edit field configuration in the "SLOT" mode, hold the same button combination at the mode selection screen. Unfortunately, you couldn't see the ending credits if using this cheat on any difficult level.

(FIX) Slot mode (added 07.04.14):
At the mode selection menu, hold Select and press A or Start to enable the slot mode game type 1 or press B to enable the slot mode game type 2. The mode name will change to "SLOT". The slot mode will force 2 player game. Here you will play the regular Othello game, but both players can only put the stones at the random locations, instead of the selected ones. In the game type 1, the location is selected with the random dice roll. Press B twice to stop two dices and put a stone. In the game type 2, press B while a star cursor is jumping randomly on the field to put the stone at the place where the star were located at that moment.
This cheat remains in the US version, but actually does nothing, except changing the mode name to "SLOT", forcing 2 player game, and selecting the stone pickup method in "SLOT GAME", descibed below.

(UNI) Slot game (added 07.04.14):
In addition to the main "SLOT" mode, there is other "SLOT GAME" mode can be enabled. When 2 player game is over and message "GAME END" is displayed, hold Select on controller 1, the press A on any controller. The player who pressed A, when in "SLOT" mode type 1 or regular 2 player game, will be asked to roll the dices then pick up a color. When in "SLOT" mode type 2, a random star will be jumping over the field, press B to stop it, then pickup a color. A stone of the selected color will be placed on the field in given position. Other player should do the same next. This may change the game results by luck.

(UNI) Hidden staff screen (added 07.04.14):
There are two endings in this game, the first one you get when beat the Level 4 computer, the second one you gen when beat the Level 5 computer in a special game after that. The Staff screen is displayed always in the second ending, but if you hold B on controller 1 during the first ending, you can see the same Staff screen as well.

This text is a part of a hidden CRC test routine and used in some other games programmed by the same people.

(BUR) GameGenie (added 23.06.09):
GANNVTEI-There are a series of the Namco games, made by the same programmers Haruhisa Udagawa and Kumi Hanaoka, that contains the same self-test for the data integrity. To enable any of these tests you need a special device that should be plugged into the expansion port. The operation of that device is very simple. It should accept the data bit from the data input port and return it back inverted to the output data port. The device consists of 4-bit shift register, working as some sort of the FIFO buffer. The input bits are goes to the input and then shifted to the output after a 4 cycles. At the game's boot, it tries to send some special data to the device. If the data output doesn't match the data input inverted, then the game continues the normal operation. But if all data (usually 32, rarely 64 bytes) is matches, self-tests will be performed. The program calculates 24-bit partial checksums for the PRG (excluding the last 8K) and the CHR data, summing only every 15th byte, and comparing it against the etalon. Before testing of the PRG data, the background color turns red, before testing of the CHR data, it turns green. If any of these tests are failed, the program will jump directly to the reset routine. It means, one of these tests will be performed infinitely, but until the special device is plugged in, or until the test are passed. Normally, you'll see the red to green flash just before the game's boot. Or the static red screen if the PRG data is bad, or the flashing red to green screen if CHR data isn't good. Using this Game Genie code you can skip tests for the special device presence and jump straight to the integrity tests.

Family Mahjong II - Shanghai heno Michi

(UNI) Luck control (added 09.04.14):
In the Mahjong Grand Prix mode, the program does some additinal luck manipulation. Although the tiles are shuffled once before the match, sometimes, the game can look for the tile, that can help you to complete the mahjong, and swap it with the topmost tile in the stack, which should be tossed to the player in the next round. It depends on the player's stats (mahjong power, luck and stamina), which determines how many tiles in the nearest stack will be checked for the tile you need. If sum of your stats is greather than 200, then no tiles will be checked, if sum is between 150 and 200, then first 10 tiles will be checked, first 7 tiles will be ckecked if sum is between 100 and 150, and finally only first 4 tiles will be checked if sum less than 100. Obviously, if there are no useful tiles in the nearest stack, you'll just get the next random tile from the stack. This also does mean, that you just obtain the tile you need much earlier, but all the tiles you don't need will be given to you later anyway.
Normally, you can only control the depth of mentioned search by keeping the player's parameters in the proper range. This gives you a little more luck during the game. But you can obtain the useful tile only when the programm picks one of your tiles in hand to check if any other useful tiles in the stack, this means a random value in range from 0 to 255 should be less than 13. However, you can increase it's probability slightly, by using the buttons on controller 2. Every button stands for a number: A - 1, B - 2, Select - 4, Start - 8, Up - 16, Down - 32, Left - 64, Right - 128. When you hold a button combination, the numbers are summing, and resulting value is using as the divider for the random generator. The resulting random number calculated as remainder of division. For example, hold A on controller 2 during the game, and all random numbers will be divided by 1. Remainder of this operation is always 0, so, the game will look for the tile that exactly or less by 1 than leftmost player's tile in the hand. Or, hold A + Select + Start on controller 2, to divide the random number by 13. In this case, it will always look into the player's hand and pick up any of it's 13 tiles to look for in the stack, resulting in higher probability.

GEEZAEGK-Re-enables the face debug routine. Just start a new game with opponent selection screen, you cannot play this mode, but can switch all faces with A or B on controller 1.

Any time after the game boot up, but before the first demo sequence at the title screen, enter one of the following codes on controller 2, then start a new game to enable corresponding effect. All these codes are unlockables in the Gambling mode. When you win one of the picked skills, the game will display the corresponding cheat sequence to enter on the title screen, except the last one.
B, Left, Right, A, Up, Down-Extra 10 balls in the Gambling mode.
Up, A, Right, B, Down, Left-Player 1 controls both flippers in the Battle mode.
Left, Right, A, Down, B, Up-Extra 5 balls in the Piball mode.

IVOXPASE (for the US version)-Only the US version of this game contains this mode, where you can not only enter your name, also the age, phone number and even the home address, and the program should generate some password for you. It seems, that western copy was intended to be used in some competition, like "Treasure Master", but cancelled and left unfinished. The code re-enables the name entry screen after the end of the Pinball mode.

GEVYNPEI-Some of the Namco games, which uses the 19 mapper PCB, contains also the specific self-test routine. It can test and initialize the internal RAM buffers. Similar to the other Namco games series, in order to run these tests, you must plug in a special device to the famicom expansion port. This device is much simpler than mentioned another device. It just takes one bit of data and immediately returns it inverted to the data port, there is no FIFOs inside. When the program detects the device presence, it performs RAM test and initialization. If RAM is already tested/initialized, the screen will turn blue. If RAM isn't initialized, but after init and test all is fine, then screen will turn yellow or pink. If, even after the reinitialization, RAM test fails, then screen will turn red. After the tests, program goes to the infinite loop, so yo must unplug special device to boot into the game. Using this Game Genie code you can skip the special device check and just directly to the RAM initialization routine. This game tests it's IRAM buffer, used for the expansion sound.

(FIX) Immune to spiders (added 03.03.16):
The game has a programming bug, which may cause the immunity to the spider enemies. Every time you take damage or lower it, the damage progress bar is filled or drained accordingly. Press Select during the progress bar animation period to show the items screen and then press Select again to return back to the game. This causes the damage change process to abort. Which means you may not only loose some life points, when refill process is interrupted, but either stop taking additional damage. But most importantly, this stops the spider enemy collision code to detect the collision with main character, rendered the Dizzy immune to spiders for some time. Untill you take another damage or restore it in the normal way. It can be done either after the fruit eaten or when spider itself is touched.

Absolutely all games by Codemasters have internal PRG ROM and CHR RAM testing routines. So called "Smiley tests". Tests are normally enabled, but for triggering it needs pressing all D-Pad buttons. Hold Up + Down + Left + Right + A + Select + Start to enter the PRG ROM test or hold Up + Down + Left + Right + B + Select + Start to enter the CHR RAM test, and press Reset. A green smile means that test passed, red sad face - failed.

AESYENNY-Something with the stage select menu involved, probably allows you to select any stage independently whether they completed or not.
AESYXNNY-Re-enables the Unit Level Setup secret word. Enter as a player's name "__AB", where "_" are empty symbols, "A" and "B" are characters from "あ" to "こ", each representing the number from 0 to 9, so you will get the desired level number of every units in your team. For example name "__ここ" will give you all 99 level units.
AESYUNNY-Misc message display disable.
AESYONNY-Re-enables the Ending sequence secret word. Enter as a player's name "えんど_", where "_" an empty symbol. Start a new game and select this slot to see the Ending sequence.
AESYKNNY-Re-enables following debug features. Soft Reset, press Select + Start any time during the game. An extra "DEBUG" menu option in the main game menu, allow you to edit some game parameters. Need investigate. The enemy AI monitor during enemy turn. And some other internal features.
AESYSNNY-Some unknown CPU AI adjustments.

Fuzzical Fighter

(GEN) Palette editor:
While playing on Ship mode, press Up on controller 2 to pause the game and then press A, B, Up, Down on controller 1. If done right, a bunch of numbers will appear. Use these numbers to change the colors of the game. For some unknown reason, this was a leftover from the development stage didn't disabled in the final release. Actually this secret code was intended for the cheat described below.

Enter the Palette editor mode, as described above, when your maximum HP is exactly 224, and amount of gold meet the rule: in a hexadecimal notation, the lower 8 hex nibble of the gold number should be the same as higher 8 hex nibble (for example, first obvious amount is 0, also decimal 257 in hex notation is $0101, or decimal 1285 is $0505 in hex, both meets this condition). If all conditions are met, hold Down on controller 1 and press Select or Start to exit the Palette editor mode. You'll get the 7777 gold and 240 both to maximum and current HP/MP, as well as 9 Fuzzy points.

(UNI) Free magic (added 18.04.14):
During the game, select any magic, use it by pressing A on controller 1 while holding any button on controller 2, except Up, to cancel MP consumption. This means that any magic can be used any time any number of times, and seems this cheat is one more development leftover, since it's very easy to beat the game with this cheat with no need to upgrade and lift up your abilities.

(UNI) Hyper debugger mode:
At the title screen, hold A + B on controller 2 and A or B on controller 1 at the same time, then press Select on controller 1.
